When the implants are firmly embedded in the jaw, it would take around six months to restore your teeth. The titanium screw is placed into the jawbone using a set of diagnostic and surgical methods that won’t cause any pain or discomfort to the patient. The upper jaw restorations are easy to accomplish and won’t take long to achieve.
Other similar treatments are available, but unlike dental implants are shown to be the safest and has the highest success rate. Dental implants looks and functions just like a normal teeth. It could also last for a lifetime if cared for properly. Some implants may take preparatory procedures before an artificial root is placed. If a person has a weak jawbone, for example, the person would need a graft to improve the bone density and create a stronger base.
Grafting would take a while to heal and that person would have to wait for 6 to 9 months before a dental implant can be made. When grafting is not possible, then a patient can have mini dental implants. These implants are thinner in diameter than regular dental implants which means it could be placed on a smaller bone densities.
Once placed, the patient will undergo a recovery phase in which they would have to make several dentist appointments to determine the overall healing rate of the surgery.

Root Canal
A root canal is an excellent dental treatment for saving a badly infected teeth through extraction. A part of the procedure can give you instant relief from the tooth pain. The part visible on your tooth, or crown is protected by an enamel.
Below that gum, the tooth is protected to the tip of the root via dentine. Dentine is a hard dense bone tissue, forming beneath the enamel. The dentine is filled with dental pulp called the pulp chamber. The pulp contains nerve tissues, blood vessels that feeds the tooth. When the pulp gets infected, the excessive pressure build up inside the pulp due to the formation of the bacteria and debris. This results to a huge discomfort and unbearable pain.
Whenever an infection forms, the pulp must be eliminated to avoid further infection. If not, an abscess can develop; thus the need for extraction is mandatory. Root canal gets rid of the infected pulp, resulting to an immediate relief. It is also the procedure dental professionals prefer to save the tooth from extraction. Patients may need sedation before putting in anesthesia. After taking anesthesia, dentists drill a hole through the enamel to expose the problem area. It then immediately releases the pressure inside. The patient won’t feel a thing even after the anesthesia wears off. The tooth that undergoes root canal will have the pulp matter and nerve tissues gone. Then, the canal is cleaned thoroughly and is sealed with a temporary filling.

Clear Braces and Invisalign®
Metallic braces have been commonly used to treat common orthodontic problems like underbite, overbite, or crossbite. A lot of people don’t like the look of metal braces as the metallic appearance is highly visible. Today, this will no longer be the issue as the industry has come out with various ways to reduce the visibility of the metal braces.
The visible parts are the metallic arch wire that runs across the front teeth and jaw, and the row of brackets on the teeth. Today, these can be made with with a color coating that matches the color of your teeth and the color of the braces. The material used for the brackets are made of ceramic. These braces are also called ceramic braces. The elastic bands that hold the archwire can be made clear or can be made to match the color of the tooth. The function of these ceramic braces are similar to traditional wire braces.
However, it needs more care and attention than traditional wire braces. For instance, if you have a clear brace, make sure to avoid food and drinks that could stain them. You should also make sure to maintain a good oral hygiene and regular dental checkups. Another option is to use Invisalign®. Invisalign® is a removable plastic aligners worn on the upper and lower part of your jaw to strengthen the teeth.
The aligners aren’t affixed to the teeth like a ceramic or metal brace would and they can easily be removed when speaking, eating or brushing your teeth. These aligners are designed to exert force on your teeth. This process will make movement for the correction of crossbite, underbite, and overbite possible. In just two weeks, the aligners would have aligned your teeth by a pinch and they will be replaced with a new set to match the new alignment. Expect to wear new sets of aligners every two weeks until the aligners have done its job.

Dental Bridges
A dental bridge is the most affordable solution for missing teeth. The dental bridge is made up of one or more artificial teeth called pontics. These are kept into position with two dental crown or abutments. Dental bridge can be made from various types of materials but porcelain will look more natural.
To place the bridge, the dentist will secure the crowns to the teeth on the sides of the gap. This will hold the new tooth or teeth in place. The result is a natural-looking set of teeth that you won’t have a problem smiling about. Dental bridges can be placed on dental implants. Through this process it will no longer be supported by your own set of teeth. The dentist will surgically place titanium metal roots in your jawbone to secure the bridge.
This procedure will last longer than traditional dental bridges as it is secured on an artificial roots making it stronger and more durable. Before getting a dental bridge, the tooth will support the bridges and have it prepared for the procedure. This is done by removing a bit of the tooth’s structure; thus, creating a room for the bridge to be attached on. If there are changes of getting the teeth exposed, the dentist will anesthetize your mouth.
After an impression of the teeth is made, it will then be sent to the dental laboratory to create a bridge. Once done, the bridge will be placed on your teeth by the dentist and make it fit. If it fits, then it will be cemented to the teeth. Dental bridges are more durable and longer lasting than a set of dentures as the materials and fabrication process is a lot better than the dentures.

Teeth Whitening
Teeth Whitening is a fast and non-invasive method of whitening your teeth. A popular dental treatment, teeth whitening will provide whiter teeth getting rid of all the stains and discoloration. A significantly whiter teeth in a shorter period of time is highly beneficial for an in-office whitening procedure. The procedure will involve a precisely controlled application of a high-concentration of peroxide gel that the dentist will apply to the teeth.
Take note that the gums are protected during this procedure. The peroxide will stay on the teeth for around 20 minutes to an hour, at most. Patients with stubborn stains would require several more sessions or may recommend an at-home whitening procedure. The take-home kits have a lower concentration of peroxide than what dentists use and it will take an hour or overnight to process. Because of the lower concentration, the process would take longer unlike when done in-office.
The gel is applied on a custom teeth tray that look like mouth guards. Although take-home kits are useful, especially when you don’t have the time to visit for an appointment in-office whitening provides better results. Because other than cleaning your teeth, our dentists will be able to provide advice on how to keep your teeth clean and unstained. Moreover, our dentists will use a significantly stronger gel that works faster in splitting the bonds of all the stained molecules of your teeth. The dentists also use lasers to agitate the solution, further increasing the strength of the peroxide gel.
The process can take out up to eight discolored shades in just an hour of the whitening session. The LED device will agitate the peroxide gel spreading the oxygen and further penetrating through the tooth surface. Oftentimes, a take-home and in-office sessions are combined for a better and longer-lasting results.

Tooth Extractions
If a tooth has been broken and damaged by decay, your dentist will fix it through filing, crown, or any possible treatment. When the damage cannot be repaired, the tooth needs to be extracted. A very loose tooth will also require tooth extraction if it cannot be save. Other instances where a teeth extraction is required is when there’s an extra set of teeth the block others from coming out or a baby tooth that hasn’t fallen out in time.
A teeth extraction is also required to create a room for the tooth to shift for patients with braces. Other instances include: patients receiving radiation to the head and neck, patients taking cancer drugs that have developed an infected teeth and other medical reasons.
Wisdom tooth or third molars are extracted either before or after they came out. It usually appear during teens or early 20s. These are usually stuck in the jaw and won’t come out. The wisdom tooth will usually cause issues to other teeth when not removed. The procedure will usually involve a simple or surgical extraction. A simple extraction is performed on a visible tooth. Simple extractions are the most common dental procedures. In this procedure, the dentist will make a small incision or cut into the gum. Sometimes the bone around the tooth is removed or cut in half in order to extract it.

HMO and PPO insurances we Accept (Medicaid/MediCal)
Our dentists believe that financing your dental treatment should be easy. With HMO insurance, you have the freedom to choose the dentist you want from your local providers. There are certain insurance policies that will allow patients to receive treatments, exams and procedures at the dentist office with co-payment or with no cost at all. Medicard insurance offers dental insurance to their clients. This insurance also allows the patient to determine the dentist they want. We accept Medicard plans. If your Medicard insurance can cover all or a part of your child’s dental care, we can help you file a claim. For this, you may need to provide a proof of identity on your first appointment. Simply tell our front desk staff the kind of insurance plan you have and any other needed information.
